Spring Documentary Update

!  Happy March !

Dear fans and patrons for the films about Patrick Scully,

I hope you all have had a productive time hibernating. Meanwhile at Editing HQ, we've been going through the chapters of the film. Dan of Jagged Edge editing continues to polish these sections of the project with great success. Your donations to Gofundme and our fiscal sponsor, Film North, in January, February and from the Fall fundraiser continue to fund this work. Thank you to Andrew & Eyenga who have sent in $550! Your generosity is validating and vital to keep this project going!

Eyenga Bokamba's art exhibit, where she had 10 of her small paintings on sale for this project, ended last December. She was able to sell one painting for The Dance Is Not Over. She also said that if there is interest in more purchases for these paintings, she will continue to send donations our way. Please contact her at her website if this is a good fit for you. Here is a link.

That's a wrap on 2022!

Happy Years end & Happy New Year! I hope you all had a great holiday. My partner and I stayed as warm as we could and had a very nice time celebrating in Minneapolis and Milwaukee.

I want to thank all the producers and directors that have been able to hire me this year, I feel that together we made many special moments for the screen. Here is a little collage from 2022!

Below, I have a new video that I 'd like to share for NFL films. Always fun to collaborate with the stories they like to tell.  More info about all of this below.

If you have a spot or film that you need some art dept help on, pls call or send an email to discuss your idea. If you need to see more examples of my work. Here is a link to my website. I have availability in January and February. I work as a local out of Minneapolis, Milwaukee and Chicago.

Above is one of two vignettes I propped for NFL films. This one starred Peyton Manning and Ahmad Rashad. We shot it at the Mall of America. My assistant and I got to; play with footballs, jump into the water with nets, in the amusement park, dress hero jerseys, medallions at the Pro Shops and basically get ready for whatever the celebrity talent needed. What a life huh? Playing with the stars at a theme park? Production life is a bit bonkers.  Below, are a few behind the scenes candids.

Throwback Work

Above, is some throwback work. 'Smores by the fire', selling cell phones, seems kinda apropo for this time of year, Lets all keep warm!  Do you need a prop fire? maybe a cord of wood? marshmallow roasting sticks and all the fixings? I got you.

Happy Holidays!

To the fans and patrons for my films about Patrick Scully,

I want to wish y'all a happy holiday. I have so many things to be thankful for. I have a great subject for my film, I have a wonderful team making this movie and I have a fantastic group of patrons, fans and donors. All of that equals = inspiring. Thanks for your support of these films. Your donations to our fiscal sponsor in October and November continue to impress and warm my heart. Big thanks to George, Thomas and Ruth who sent in $650! Your generosity is validating and vital to keep this project going!

As I mentioned above, we have a wonderful team of folks making this film. Below is a "holiday" pic of the core committee who organized the September FUNdraiser. This inner sanctum included the producer Julie Kaupa, the artist himself, Patrick Scully, my partner Laurel and the photographer Vance Gellert. Here we are meeting at the Women's Club before the event. We had others on the committee also, and I thank them for their work too and I don't forget the 25 volunteers who made it all happen.

As you know well, our goal is to finish raising $52,350 to ensure that Patrick’s story – which in many ways is all our stories – gets told.

All donations will be designated for the completion of this work.

Funders giving $20,000 will be credited as Executive Producers
$10,000 will be credited as Producers
$5,000 will be credited as Associate Producers
Any amount will also be listed in the credits of the film

December News

Dear Friends & Colleagues, I want to thank all the producers and directors that have been able to hire me this fall. We made some dope and beautiful images for the screen.

I'm celebrating a bit of thing...This month marks the 30th anniversary of being in the biz. It was in 1992 that I did my first gig as a PA. I can't believe that this crazy industry has kept me around for that long! I feel truly blessed to be in the good graces of many of you for three decades. Last January, I was on a gig with Mike Welckle, Ralph Lindell, Victor Korte for Best Buy. This was many of the same crew that was on that first job, an Ali Selim commercial shot at Old Arizona Studios. On it, I made $100 a day. I remember the wafting the wind in the bedroom curtains, I was part of the illusion. I was bitten. The rest was history, Thank you for 30 years!

Below, I have new video that I was the Milwaukee decorator on, the short film, Naija Odyssey, about Giannis Antetokounmpo.
More info about all of this below.

If you have a spot or film that you need some art dept help on, pls call or send an email to discuss your idea. If you need to see more examples of my work. Here is a link to my website. I have some availability in December and January. I work as a local out of Minneapolis, Milwaukee and Chicago.

Above is the origin story short film,Naija Odyssey, about the MVP basketball player Giannis Antetokounmpo. I got to work under, decorate & build for the veteran Milwaukee production designer Art Wilinski. Most of our work was focused on the Penthouse set that you see at 00:35 seconds. That was a huge deal, but of course there was lot more that ended up on the cutting room floor. As my old boss used to say, "Our best work is never seen!"  Amazing job by local producer Nicolaus Langholff for coraling this star studded entourage production together.

Below, is some throwback work. I've been lucky in my career to work with some talented artists. In 2014, I was the prop master on WILSON. I got to prop; Woody Harrelson, Laura Dern, Judy Greer and others. All incredible talents. It was an amazing experience and it def. made me a better prop master and dept. head.

For both shoots, I was part of a great crew. As you know, It's all about team!
